Regina police have charged two people following a string of break-ins in April at various business around the city. A 46-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man have both been charged with six counts of break and enter and commit an indictable offence and one count each of possession of stolen property, a Regina police news release said. The break-ins occurred between April 15 and 21, police added. On April 15, officers were called to a business on the 600 block of Victoria Avenue, where police said two suspects entered the building through a broken window before stealing cash. On April 16, police say a business on the 2100 block of 11th Avenue reported that a suspect tried to pry open a door, with no success. Then on April 18, police were called to a break and enter at a business on the 500 block of Victoria Avenue that had occurred a day prior. Police say the suspects forced entry into the business and stole cash and merchandise adding up to approximately $4,500. On April 19, officers were sent to a business on the 2100 block of 11th Avenue where the suspects entered the building by smashing an exterior window before stealing around $1,000 worth of merchandise. Officers were then called to two break-ins on April 20. The first at a business on the 300 block of Victoria Avenue where the suspects entered by smashing glass on an exterior door before stealing multiple items and causing extensive damage. The second break-in that day occurred at a business on the 2100 block of 11th Avenue where the suspects entered by prying open an exterior door, causing damage. Police were called to one more incident on April 21. Officers responded to a building on the 1000 block of Victoria Avenue where police say the suspects entered and pried open several interior doors before several cell phones were stolen. Regina police say the 46-year-old suspect made her first court appearance on April 22 and the 48-year-old suspect made his first court appearance on April 24.
