Saskatchewan RCMP are continuing to investigate after a police vehicle collided with a truck on Highway 15 near Punnichy on Wednesday. On June 4 around 11:10 a.m., a two-vehicle collision was reported near the rodeo grounds on Muskowekwan First Nation. Officers responded along with local paramedics and STARS Air Ambulance. Police determined that a marked RCMP vehicle and a truck had collided. The officer was taken to hospital by STARS for injuries described as “serious but non-life-threatening.” There were no passengers in the RCMP vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver and sole occupant of the truck was taken to hospital non-life-threatening injuries, RCMP said. Highway 15 was temporarily closed due to the incident. Punnichy RCMP continue to investigate with the help of a collision reconstructionist. Muskowekwan First Nation is located approximately 150 kilometres north of Regina.
