Three people are dead after separate fatal rollovers on the weekend. The first happened Sunday morning around 10:55 a.m. when Spiritwood RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 24 near Pelican Lake First Nation. Officers, paramedics and local firefighters responded, eventually declaring two of the vehicle’s occupants dead at the scene. They have been identified as a 31-year-old man and 39-year-old woman, both from Pelican Lake First Nation. Their families have been notified. A third occupant was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious, according to RCMP. The rollover is being investigated with the help of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. A few hours later, Kamsack RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 8 on Keeseekoose First Nation. Mounties responded along with EMS and local firefighters, finding the driver and sole person inside vehicle who was declared dead at the scene. He has been identified as a 50-year-old man from Norquay, Sask. and his family has been notified. Kamsack RCMP are also investigating with the help of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
