A Saskatchewan man is facing several charges following a break-in at a rural residence near Weyburn. RCMP officers responded to a residence near Trossachs, about 29 kilometres west of Weyburn, at around 4:30 p.m. on March 14, according to an update from Saskatchewan RCMP on Wednesday. The suspect was located at a residence in Minton and arrested on March 15 after surveillance cameras at the site of the break-in identified him and his vehicle. A search warrant was then executed at the Minton property. According to RCMP, officers found and seized items reported as stolen from the Trossachs residence, as well as a truck and ATV which were linked to other break-ins. Following the investigation, a 41-year-old man is facing a total of eight charges, including three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, breaking and entering, theft under $5,000, motor vehicle theft, failure to comply with a probation order, and one count of mischief under $5,000. The suspect was taken into custody and was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
